Holmes Hawkins is a partner in King & Spalding, LLP, an international law firm with more than 800 lawyers and offices in Atlanta, New York, Washington, DC, Houston, London and Dubai. The firm provides legal counsel to more than 250 public companies, including more than half of the Fortune 100. The firm was actively involved in the creation, implementation and management of the extensive and effective anti-counterfeiting and anti-ambush marketing programs for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Mr. Hawkins’ practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including obtaining, managing and protecting trademarks and other forms of intellectual property for clients worldwide. He has extensive experience defending clients' trademarks from unauthorized duplication, counterfeiting, or ambush marketing and in helping clients preserve the value of their licensed property and marks. He has also been involved in numerous licensing and other intellectual property related corporate transactions. Mr. Hawkins is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and in Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers. He serves as a Visiting Professor at Georgia Tech, where he teaches public policy courses relating to intellectual property issues to both undergraduate and graduate students. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
